Investment in quality

New investment in state-of-the-art inspection equipment and training is enabling Darwins to further refine the exceptional quality of its high integrity castings.

A video endoscope has been purchased, which allows engineers to view and carefully inspect unsighted areas inside castings, and new U/T equipment will now enable all ultrasonic testing to be brought in-house.

"Previously our ultrasonic tests were outsourced," said Darwins Managing Director Patrick Herron. "By bringing this crucial inspection work in-house we are able to offer customers even greater value for money while maintaining the unrivalled quality of our work."
